Side-on to a low pulley, the handle is pulled up and across the body to above the far shoulder as the trunk turns and the legs straighten: the wood chop's low-to-high partner. ACE rates the standing hay baler advanced, the kneeling ones easier, and NASM and the NSCA place chops and lifts after the Pallof press.

How to move
Stand side-on to a low pulley, crouched a little, both hands on the handle beside the near knee.
In one motion pull it up and across the body to above the far shoulder, turning the trunk and straightening the legs.
Lower it back under control.
Form cues
Keep the arms long; the trunk and legs do the work.
Start light.
Practice and cautions
No universal dose is assigned. Choose a manageable amount for your current capacity, leave room for controlled repetitions, and allow recovery. A clinician’s individual plan takes priority.
This is movement education, not an assessment or treatment prescription. Stop for sharp or increasing pain, dizziness, numbness or tingling; seek individual guidance for symptoms, injury or restrictions.
