How to move
- From a support hold on the rings, bend your elbows and lower until your upper arms are about level with the floor, letting the rings drift just outside your torso, then press back to straight arms and finish with the rings turned slightly out.
Practice and cautions
3 to 4 sets of 3 to 8, using a band under the feet or partial range until five clean reps come easily.
The instability lets the shoulder drop into a poor position at the bottom in a way a fixed bar does not. Earn the support hold first, and clear it with a clinician if you have shoulder pain or a dislocation history.
