How to move
- Support yourself on two parallel bars with straight arms and ribs locked down. Bend the elbows to lower until your upper arms are about level with the floor, leaning the torso slightly forward, then press back to the top.
Practice and cautions
3 to 4 sets of 3 to 8 reps, using a band or assisted machine until you can do five clean.
Going deeper than upper arms parallel loads the front of the shoulder heavily. Clear it with a clinician if you have shoulder pain or a dislocation history.
