How to move
- You do push ups with your hands turned out beside your hips and your shoulders leaning well in front of your wrists. The lean shifts extra body weight onto your shoulders and hands, mimicking the loading of a planche.
Practice and cautions
3 to 5 sets of 3 to 8 reps, adjusting the lean so the last rep is hard but clean.
The turned out hands and forward lean load the wrists in full extension and put steady tension through the biceps and the front of the elbow. Increasing the lean faster than your tendons adapt is the common mistake.
