How to move
- Kneeling, you place your palms on the floor with fingers pointing back toward you, bend the elbows into your belly, then lean forward until your torso and extended legs balance horizontally on the elbows alone. The whole body is held rigid like a plank pivoting on two points.
Practice and cautions
2 to 3 attempts of 5 to 15 seconds, with a cushion on the floor in front of your face.
The wrists carry everything in an extreme position and the elbows press hard into the abdomen, with a forward face-plant as the default failure. Skip it with any wrist or elbow trouble, in pregnancy, or after abdominal surgery.
