How to move
- Stand facing away from a low pulley with a rope attachment between your legs, then walk forward until the cable is taut. Push your hips back and let the rope travel behind you as your torso tips forward with a flat back, then drive your hips through to stand tall.
Practice and cautions
3 sets of 12 to 15 reps, pausing for a second at the top.
Walk the rope out and back in with small steps; stepping away from the stack is the moment the cable can pull you off balance. Finish each rep by standing tall and squeezing your glutes, not by leaning backwards, and keep the weight modest: this is a pattern and glute exercise, not a maximal lift.
