How to move
- Press up to the top of the rings with straight arms, rings beside your hips and feet off the floor. Push your shoulders down away from your ears, then turn the rings out so your palms face slightly forwards and the crease of each elbow points ahead. Hold still.
Practice and cautions
Accumulate about 60 seconds in holds of 10 to 20, keeping the rings neutral at first and earning the turnout gradually.
With the rings turned out the biceps and inner elbow take an unfamiliar straight arm load. Build the turnout over weeks, keep the elbows fully straight, and treat inner elbow ache as a signal to reduce turnout, not to push through.
