How to move
- From a push up position you drive one knee towards your chest, then switch legs in a running rhythm while your hands stay planted. Your shoulders and trunk hold a plank the whole time while your hips and legs do the moving.
Practice and cautions
3 to 4 sets of 20 to 40 seconds at a pace you can keep smooth.
Low risk. The common faults are hips piking up or sagging, which shifts strain to the lower back, and the position keeps your wrists loaded for as long as you go.
