How to move
- From standing you drop your hands to the floor, kick or step back to a push up position, bring the feet back in, and jump up with your arms overhead. Each rep cycles you between the floor and full extension, which is what makes it so demanding.
Practice and cautions
3 to 5 rounds of 30 to 60 seconds at a steady pace, with equal rest between rounds.
Form decays fast under fatigue: a sagging trunk in the push up phase and a rounded back on the way up load the spine, and the jump adds impact when you are most tired. Scale the drop and the jump if wrists, shoulders or knees are irritable.
