How to move
Stand with the feet wide and turned out, a dumbbell or kettlebell held in both hands between the legs.
Sink the hips straight down between the heels, the trunk upright and the knees out over the toes, until the thighs are about level.
Press back up through the heels.
Form cues
Push the knees out in line with the toes.
Keep the arms long; the legs lift the weight.
Practice and cautions
No universal dose is assigned. Choose a manageable amount for your current capacity, leave room for controlled repetitions, and allow recovery. A clinician’s individual plan takes priority.
This is movement education, not an assessment or treatment prescription. Stop for sharp or increasing pain, dizziness, numbness or tingling; seek individual guidance for symptoms, injury or restrictions.
