How to move
- Lying back with legs extended, you prop yourself on your forearms, arch the chest toward the ceiling and let the crown of the head rest lightly on the floor. The forearms and elbows carry the weight; the head only touches.
Practice and cautions
Hold 20 to 30 seconds, 2 rounds, weight on the forearms rather than the head; a block or thick book under the upper back gives a gentler supported version.
Skip it with a neck injury or cervical spondylosis, with migraine, or with uncontrolled high or low blood pressure. Keep the load on your forearms throughout: the head should rest, never bear weight.
