How to move
- Stand facing a high pulley holding a bar or rope attachment, elbows bent and pinned to your sides. Push your hands down until your arms are straight, then let them bend back up to about chest height while your elbows stay still.
Practice and cautions
3 sets of 10 to 15 reps, leaving 1 to 2 reps in reserve.
If you find yourself leaning your whole bodyweight onto the bar to move the stack, the weight is too heavy; reduce it and let your elbows do the work. Keep your wrists straight rather than letting the bar bend them back, and set the stack down quietly between reps.
