Pelvic floor exercises
Squeeze and lift as if you were stopping yourself passing wind and stopping the flow of urine at the same time, keeping your buttocks, thighs and stomach relaxed. Daily pelvic floor training is recommended in pregnancy and after birth, and supervised training cures or improves leaking with coughs and sneezes in many women. See a GP or pelvic health physiotherapist for pain, a dragging or bulging feeling, or leaking that is not improving.

- The 3D figures cannot show these internal muscles; follow the written steps.
The doses are suggested starting points, not a prescription. Choose a range you can control and stop for sharp or increasing pain, numbness or tingling. Get individual advice after an injury or surgery, or if you are pregnant or managing a health condition.
