How to move
- Lie under a waist height bar or a pair of rings, grip it, and hang with your body straight and heels on the floor. Pull your chest to the bar, hips level with the shoulders, then lower until the arms straighten.
Practice and cautions
3 to 4 sets of 6 to 12 reps at a bar height where the last rep is genuinely hard.
Test the bar, rings or table edge with your feet still on the floor before you hang your weight from it. An unsecured or rolling bar is the main way this one goes wrong.
