10-minute starter workout

Everything is standing, against a wall or on a step, apart from the bridge, which you can do on the bed. Do one round, or two if you feel up to it, and stop each set with a few reps to spare. Finish with a short walk, outdoors if you can.

Tips

  • On a bad day, one round is a win: skip the second and go for the walk.
  • Do it at the same time each day, and tick it off when it's done.
  • If your medicines make you dizzy, stand up slowly after the bridge.
  • When two rounds feel routine, move on to the beginner home workout.

The doses are suggested starting points, not a prescription. Choose a range you can control and stop for sharp or increasing pain, numbness or tingling. Get individual advice after an injury or surgery, or if you are pregnant or managing a health condition.
