How to move
- From lying on your back, swing your hips up, support your back with your hands and stack your legs over your shoulders. Folded blankets under the shoulders keep your head lower and protect the neck curve.
Practice and cautions
Hold 30 to 60 seconds at first, building toward 2 minutes, once per session.
Avoid with any neck or disc problem, glaucoma, or uncontrolled high blood pressure, and never turn your head while you are up. Many teachers now prefer legs up the wall for this reason.
